Located just east of the
McClintock Dr. / Apache Blvd. light rail station is "
The Dhaba" where members of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce along with Mayor Hugh Hallman met today for a ribbon cutting. This wasn't a "grand opening," just an opportunity to recognize this business which has endured the light rail construction and worked well with the City of Tempe for many years. Back in July,
Phx Rail Food did a review of The Dhaba and I have wanted to try the place ever since. Please read their review as it is well done.
I spoke with the owner about the proximity to the light rail line and it is obvious they feel it will be a benefit although his comment of "we survived the construction" probably rings true to many fellow business owners. The "Apache Corridor" is undergoing an amazing transformation as construction winds down and we get closer to light rail coming to the area. New business and housing opportunities will continue to make significant changes to an area that has not yet seen it's full potential. We believe the area will continue to improve and will become a fun, vibrant part of the Tempe community. The proximity to ASU, freeway access, restaurants, shopping, etc will allow this part of town to evolve in to a much better place than we have had over the past several years. At
RailLife, we will be following the Apache Corridor very closely. We hope you will come along for the ride...
