Light Rail will be a huge benefit for hotels along the line. Business travelers, tourists and people just wanting a night out on the town will have a very convenient way to get around. A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I decided to use a gift certificate I won from the great guys (and gals) at
Friends of Transit. It was a FREE night's stay at the
Hilton Garden Inn mid town. (special thanks to Justin at the hotel for EXCELLENT service!)
Since we live in Tempe, I was thinking how fun it would be to have dinner at one of the many
restaurants along the light rail line and then be able to jump on the "train" to our hotel. No messing with traffic, parking or paying nearly $3.50 for a gallon of gas. :-)
